Formed in 2002, the band took its name from frontman Steve Arkle’s father, a beloved Bondi pharmacist who retired that same year after 30 years in the community. Rather than let the name fade, Steve kept it alive—swapping prescriptions for songlists and continuing the family tradition of healing, through music.

After a 21-year hiatus, Arkles Pharmacy was revived and recharged in 2024—bringing fresh energy, new life, and that same soul-soothing sound back to the stage. With every show, they deliver a feel-good dose of music that’ll lift your spirits and leave you craving more.
